Penryn Animal Wounded By Acid Click here for video report PENRYN, Calif. — A $3,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person who sprayed acid on a Placer County donkey. The attack took place in July off English Colony Road in Penryn. “We think that whoever did this either dumped it on or used a Super Soaker spray gun,” the donkey’s owner, Shannon McClurg, said. The 23-year-old donkey named Betsy was treated for severe burns to her shoulder and leg. For more information on the reward, please contact the Humane Society of the Sierra Foothills.
