A ONE-OFF payment of £169 buys a "Season Ticket" to a holiday cottage for 4 people for a week, every four years for life, QUITE FREE!

There isn't a catch - this unusual "gite bond" plan was devised to provide the buildings for the N.E.D.D.I Southern European sanctuary for rescued donkeys, and also to convert some surplus buildings to these delightful gites. It is not a profit-making enterprise in the ordinary way - hence the very low cost of involvement.

What is a "Gite Bond"?

Your "Gite Bond" can best be thought of as a Season Ticket. You buy your Bond now and each Bond entitles you to one week's free accomodation for 4 people in one of the gites in this idyllic country cottage complex (there will be a maximum of 4 gites) in south-west France, every 4 years for the rest of your life.

Can I choose the dates?

The dates of your holiday are chosen by you each time you book, and are made available on a "first come, first serve" basis.

Pechdou is situated almost exactly half-way between Bordeaux & Toulouse, and the climate in Lot et Garonne is such that spring flowers appear in February and the November sunshine can be magical, so breaks all year round are ideal - even December & January days can have crisp white frosts in the mornings which then become warm enough for lunch on the terrace.

How about a spring break? a winter weekend/? or a moment to gather your strength and buy some wines just before Christmas? It is ideally placed for one week's stay or possibly more.

Can I buy more than one bond?

Of course you may own more than one Bond - increasing your opportunity to enjoy the Gites at Pechdou.

In addition to your "guaranteed week" that you have just read about, you can also use a gite more often on the "short notice booking plan". Should you find yourself with an unexpected week spare, you can ring up to see if there is a gite available within the next 2 weeks ; if there is you may use it, free again of course. You may make use of this once a year.

Are there any extra charges?

Once you own your Gite Bond you will not be charged for the use of the accomodation, ever. There is however, a maintenance charge of £52 (£55 as of April 2006) for each week that you use the gite, to cover maintenance of the grounds & pool, water etc.

Can I invite others to stay?

Of course there is nothing to say you must use the holiday time for yourself - you can book the time for use by whomever you like. Some Bondholders intend to rent out their booking.

What are the gites like?

Each Gite provides

• A Living room with kitchen corner (some have separate kitchen) including fridge,

• Full size cooker, sink, washing machine & all equipment

• Shower room & toilet

• Bedroom with twin beds

• Smaller bedroom with full size bunk beds

The gites are furnished comfortably, but simply. Heating is provided for the colder months, and electricity is paid for by coin meter. Each gite has its own garden/terrace area, with table & chairs.

The Grounds & Shared Facilities

Shared swimming pool and 64 acres of pleasant farmland to explore & relax in, combined with unlimited marvellous surrounding countryside.

By buying a Gite Bond you are not only making sure you and your friends and family have access to a little piece of peaceful France for the rest of the Bond holder's life.

You are also helping to fund the purchase of buildings for a rescue centre for sick and neglected donkeys, particularly from Spain & Portugal.

You will have helped the rescued donkeys who will occupy the surrounding fields to live out their lives in peace and safety.
